One of the best decisions I’ve made with writing is to not pigeonhole myself into one subject. I don’t track page views, measure traffic to my site, or sell ads against my articles—and I never will. Instead, I follow one guideline: add value—whether that’s by telling a 400 year-old story or interviewing a controversial writer.
